The uniforms needed to reflect the spa's minimalist, organic aesthetic while providing maximum comfort for therapists and outdoor staff.
The Challenge: Organic Aesthetics and Comfort
Coastal Retreat & Spa's brand identity is deeply rooted in nature, tranquility, and holistic wellness. They required uniforms that felt less like traditional workwear and more like comfortable, high-end resort wear. The materials had to be natural, breathable, and ethically sourced to align with their core values.
The CDM Solution: Natural Fibers and Earth Tones
We developed a collection using a palette of muted earth tones—sage green, sand, and charcoal grey. The primary materials were organic cotton, linen, and Tencel™, chosen for their soft hand-feel and sustainable profile. Key design features included:
- Spa Therapists: Loose-fitting, kimono-style tops and trousers in organic cotton, allowing for unrestricted movement.
- Front Desk/Management: Tailored, yet relaxed linen blazers and dresses.
- Outdoor Staff: Durable, weather-resistant jackets and trousers made from recycled materials.
Results & Impact
The new uniforms were a resounding success, immediately enhancing the guest experience by reinforcing the spa's commitment to natural luxury. The staff appreciated the comfort and the quality of the materials, leading to a positive impact on daily operations and a reduction in uniform complaints.
