HHI Medical Group, South Carolina
Design, Production, and Logistics for 600+ staff across 5 clinics and the main hospital.
Creating a uniform that meets strict hygiene standards, provides all-day comfort, and clearly differentiates roles within the medical team.
The Challenge: Hygiene, Comfort, and Clarity
The medical group required a uniform solution that prioritized patient safety and staff well-being. Traditional scrubs were often ill-fitting and lacked the necessary features for a modern medical environment. The new program needed to be easy to clean, durable, and clearly communicate the wearer's role (e.g., Doctor, Nurse, Technician).
The CDM Solution: Antimicrobial Performance Wear
We developed a line of scrubs and lab coats using a proprietary blend of polyester and rayon, treated with an antimicrobial finish to inhibit bacterial growth. The design focused on ergonomic fit and stretch for maximum mobility during long shifts. Role differentiation was achieved through color-coding and subtle embroidery:
- Nurses & Technicians: Custom-fit scrubs in two primary colors, with contrast piping to denote seniority.
- Physicians: Tailored, fluid-resistant lab coats with internal pockets for medical devices and a bespoke-style fit.
- Administrative Staff: Professional, business-casual separates in a complementary color palette.
Results & Management
The new uniforms significantly improved staff morale and patient confidence. The antimicrobial properties added a layer of safety, and the improved fit reduced physical strain. We implemented a dedicated online portal for staff to order their allocated uniforms, with a robust inventory system to manage the high-volume, continuous need for replacement and new staff onboarding.
"The new uniforms are a massive improvement. They are comfortable, professional, and the logistics system makes reordering effortless. CDM Inc. is a vital partner in our operations." — Chief Operating Officer, HHI Medical Group
